The dereeler is a PLC controlled system that automatically feeds stamped, strip format connectors and monitors the strip condition during the machine's assembly cycle. When equipped with the strip change feature the system will automatically sense strip jams, splices and end of the reel conditions. Upon a condition detection, the strip change apparatus will reverse feed the current supply strip, shuttle, and automatically feed the back-up reel's strip into the contact insertion head's feed track.

The dereel system comes complete with a welded tubular steel frame, an automatic paper interleaf take-up system and a tension control system.

The strip change system is designed to mount to the base plate of the assembly system whereas the dereeler assembly is a floor mounted. Custom mounting frames are available to meet specific customer application requirements.
