PCB Engineered Performance
Our automated Synersert™ systems reliably feed, shear and insert terminals into the work piece at rates up to four (4) cycles per second (14400 UPH).

Semi-automatic systems can achieve rates of 1500 UPH. With our close tolerance tooling design techniques, insertion of adjacent contacts may be accomplished at center to center distances as low as 0.5mm (0.020").

 

Synersert™ Bench Top Interchangeable and Programmable Tooling
Depending on the application, systems can be fitted with dedicated or interchangeable application tooling along with optional fixed or programmable feed packs. Programmable feed packs permit the number of simultaneously inserted terminals (singulated, ganged or combed) to be selected on the fly. Additionally, specialized, knock-out, complex shear and compound bending tools are available. For ultra high speed applications, automatic reel change is also available.

 

Synersert™/Universal Demanding Precision
The Synersert™ incorporates a long list of standard reliability and performance features. To achieve superlative performance our systems are designed to operate flawlessly, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We engineer for demanding precision and close tolerances utilizing synchronized cam operations which are enhanced by our exclusive SynerSoft™ programmable control technology.

The Synersert's™ design criteria requires all major machine components to be positively located, keyed or doweled and precision cams are employed for critical motions, and all cams use rolling cam followers. The Synersert™ is designed to incorporate few or no adjustments while machine components utilize built-in lubrication systems. Application tooling is piloted, guided and resharpenable (where applicable) and the design provides defect detection controls

 

Synersert™ Head Pre-engineered, Standardized Components
The systems may comprise a combination of pre-engineered, standardized components, or to meet specific customer criteria we will custom engineer a solution. Pre-engineered insertion heads are available for vertical and horizontal insertion, gang, comb, stitch, straight and right angle insertion and pitch modifying insertion. These can include either dedicated and interchangeable tool designs. Additionally, the insertion heads can be coupled with dedicated or interchangeable feed packs for hitch, servo, programmable, contact counting feed and with auto reel change. Auto reel change can be configured either for automatic operation with the same terminal supply strip or for installation of different terminal supply strips into the same work piece.

 

Tailored Configurations
You can order your Synersert™ to suit you particular assembly requirement. Pre-engineered modules are available for PCB and molded housing assembly. For PCB assembly requirements, including stand-alone and pass-thru automation, the Synersert™ package will be expertly integrated to the positioning system of your choice. Integration configurations are available for Universal Instruments, UMG Technologies and many others. For semi-automatic machines, you may select from a wide variety of board guide fixtures, shuttle, stepping, rotary and positioning devices.

For molded housing applications, such as electronic connectors, bobbins, housings, switches, etc. you can order your automated system with part positioning tooling custom tailored to the application. Positioning tooling can be engineered to be dedicated or re-configurable and includes x-y positioning, walking beam, servo positioning, rotary and carousel, robotics cell (SCARA & Cartesian) and with Cartesian coordinate servo modules. For semi-automatic machines, you may select from a wide variety of shuttle, stepping, rotary and positioning devices.
